Who we are

The Racing House Press is an associate of The Electric Book Company, www.elecbook.com, the UK's leading producer of ebooks. Electric Book has produced over 1000 ebooks, both on its own account and for a number of leading publishers. It also operates the Academic Library, www.theacademiclibrary.com, the UK's premier independent online library, which delivers books online to academic institutions, including the London School of Economics, the Open University and the universities of Kent and Manchester.

We have developed a number of innovative techniques for ebook production and now, with the digital revolution in print, we can use those techniques to produce high quality print books at a cost most authors can afford.

Our latest publications include Tales from a Greek Island by Roger Jinkinson and Google and the Mission to Map Meaning and Make Money by Bart Milner. Take a look at some of our ebooks. These have typography and page layout optimised for reading onscreen rather than on paper, but they give an indication of the care and expertise that we employ in producing them. • The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, Volume I, by Edward Gibbon. The magisterial account of the Roman empire from Augustus to the faul of the Constantinople and the Eastern Empire in 1453.
  
  
• Elements of Geology by Charles Lyell. Lyell was a close friend of Darwin and was highly influential in the development of his ideas which led to the writing of The Origin of Species. The book contains over 400 original ilustrations.
