RODERICK ROBINSON was born in the West Riding and left school at fifteen to join a local newspaper as a tea-boy. He repaired radio equipment during RAF national service, worked on consumer and industrial magazines in London, followed by more of the same at both ends of Pennsylvania. Latterly he edited a logistics magazine in London. He now lives in Herefordshire, is married, and has two adult daughters.
